Full System Backup in Windows Server 2008 R2

Perform a full system backup in the following ways:

1. Interactively Full System Backup.

2. Interactive Full System Backup with Wbadmin.exe

3. Scheduling a Backup

Interactive Full System Backup

1. Log on to a DC with domain administrator credentials and launch Windows Server Backup from the Administrative Tools.

2. Click add Windows Server Backup Features.

3. Install Server Backup Features.

4. After Installing Serer Backup Features click Backup Once in the Actions pane. This launches the Backup Once Wizard.

5. If this is the first time you run the Backup Once Wizard, choose Different Options and click Next. If not, you can also choose The Same Options.

6. Click Full Server (recommended) and click Next.

7. Choose the destination, for example, Local drives, and click Next.

8. If you targeted a local drive, select the drive, make sure it has enough space, and click Next.

9. Click Backup to perform the backup.

10. Click Close.
